Hi all, 

I had a credit so I used backerkit launch to send about 320 emails to prior backers - but I'm dumb and they don't have any pictures in them. It just looks like spam. And there's no way to fix/resend it. 😓

Because the template includes this above it, and this was sent alongside the email last time I used Backerkit Launch, I thought it would be included even linking straight to the campaign. Nope. So I failed at that and am really unlikely to see any pledges from that, there haven't been any so far and it's been 24hrs. I'm incredibly embarrassed and ashamed, I should have sent a test email to myself. 

Let's see where we are at when we cross the finish line. Hopefully it wasn't necessary, and who knows, my fubar could be unrelated to the lack of new pledges.

Hey all, we are less than 2k from hitting the first crop chenille sweater goal! 

I still say "first" because my manu is reluctant to negotiate the minimim order quantity for all 4 sizes. However, all 4 of these goals (base, earmuffs, and both knit crop colorways) were sampled and will be produced by the same manu, which is in part why I had all of them in a row. The fact I am getting multiple designs from them at once should be a decent point to jump off of from negotiations once I know for sure how many pledges have gone through. 

The safest bet to get both done in all 4 sizes would be to hit as close to 8k in these last 2 days as possible, which is still about 2k less than it would have been to hit both initially, but I can probably work with that for the reasons listed above.

If negotiations fall through though, I will refund all crop knit pledges as promised! I cannot afford to self-fund anything. But in the meantime, let's keep trying to hit the production goal 💗

(Note: unfortunately the goth earmuffs only finally started moving yesterday, so I will not receive them this weekend. 😓)

Crop sweater rewards live!

Hey all, sorry for the double update. I know a lot of people have been wanting the crop sweaters, and I am willing to work with my manufacturer to get a smaller qty made if we still hit close to the amount needed for the smaller goal right now (which would be approx $6,960 USD total raised). 

Please keep in mind that if a lot of you swap your sweater dress to a knit crop, without new backers, that would significantly lower the campaign funding overall. I had to really think about whether I wanted to put these up before they were "officially" unlocked because of that. But I decided to risk it. I will be keeping my eyes absolutely glued to the campaign dashboard. ^^;

I was originally going to price them at $75 for the KS and $85 retail, but because I would like them to be more accessible as add-ons than they would be at the slightly higher price point, they are now $70 KS pricing, $135 for two. Retail would now be $80.

This disclaimer is on each reward for them, but assuming the KS still is above 100% and the sweater dresses and earmuffs are still getting made, but the crop knits cannot be...those backers will be fully refunded post-campaign!

I'm hoping for the best. Now I'll be heading to IG and Tumblr to spread the word.

Hey everyone! We reached the earmuffs goal! 🎉 Both colorways are fully unlocked! 

It was really touch and go there for a while. Thank you for helping us get past that hurdle and back on track! 

I've still not received the spooky earmuffs, so I can't take worn photos until after the campaign is over, most-likely...there's apparently a huge backlog of express packages and I haven't gotten a tracking update in a week. I've checked in again and will let you know what's up once I get word back. Hopefully they're not lost. 🥲 That's been happening to me a lot lately...

If some funds are rearranged, in $2.6k USD both colorways of the chenille crop sweater with the zippers can be unlocked. The number per colorway would just be a lot smaller (halved, actually). 

That might be possible in the last 48hrs - I've had some crazy boosts at the end of campaigns before when they see them on the KS "ending soon" page, but I've also had campaigns that either didn't move at all in the last 2 days or suffered mass cancelations. Really hoping it's not the latter, now that the failsafe is gone - when that happened before, the campaign was still not at risk of failing altogether. If it drops below 100% at the end, no funding will be received (at all) and nothing will be made. 

A lot of crowdfunding, like Indiegogo and GoFundMe, are different - that's the only reason I emphasize it.

I hope this works out! I would really love to have all these pieces at conventions for 2024 also. 💗 Even if in just very limited stock.

Hi all, 

We've gotten so many cancelations the past few days that we suddenly shot from 105% funding to being under-funded. Campaign follower numbers keep climbing, but the "plateau" has been mostly a downward trend the past 48hrs.

I am still waiting on the black earmuffs sample to arrive so that I can show it off on here and on socials. I also caught a cold or something from Dokidokon so that's why I haven't been very active. It was a bad trip and I've been resting it off. 

I hadn't had a KS campaign again since they removed the built-in barrier that they had, which prevented any one person from canceling if it was going to de-fund a project that had already met goal. So I didn't even realize this could happen. 

Kickstarter doesn't charge until the campaign goal is met AND the end of the campaign has hit, so no one is in danger of being charged right now. I don't want to be intrusive and ask anyone why they've canceled, I just assume it's due to finances, which I understand. 

Honestly though if this fails in the end, even after already having hit goal and been there for quite some time, I will have reached my breaking point. I will probably quit social media and just do cons full-time. I'm so tired. It's so hard to be a small business online right now. 

Even still, I hope everyone is doing well and that your summers have been fruitful. 

I'll keep you updated on when the earmuffs arrive, I'm not giving up yet.
