First thing's first - there are still 13 unanswered surveys! Please get those in ASAP! While I've already put in final counts for sizes in hopes there will still be >10 leftovers in each size per colorway, it still helps me figure out how much stock I should still allow up for preorders before I receive them. Goth is predictably more popular than pastel, too.
Apologies for the lack of updates; as touched on briefly before there are some delays, some significant some non, presumably because of the natural disasters that have been going on.Â
However! I do have an update on the bat/goth earmuffs! And the earmuffs as a whole, as far as the embroidery is concerned.Â
Before, the embroidery was great for the hearts but the text was just...not thick enough. Now, it's much better and far more legible!Â
The earmuffs are meant to match the corresponding dresses, so I was not happy about the lining color being too light before. Here is a photo the rep took for me in better lighting (plus a pic of it compared to the sweater):Â
...which then led to me wondering if the bat wing bow actually improved in shape after all, and this was the result (they are removable by design so that they can be adjusted as intended):Â
...which is a disaster, lol. Since the previous version was a full rectangle with some points and I wanted it tapered to make it more "wing-like," I don't know if they misunderstood somewhere about the sloping? But thankfully she didn't even wait for me to reply before redlining it herself (as shown above) and making them redo it immediately. So this is now the final shape:Â
...which I assume looks MUCH better, but she very suddenly left on a business trip so I will have to wait to see for sure. I also sent a message making sure the embroidery for this one is light grey again like the sample, instead of the light blue on the other one. Kinda hard to tell from the pic since the lighting is all-around super odd in that photo.Â
It has been kind of chaotic as she is running around a lot trying to catch up on work and I honestly feel pretty bad about it. The sweater dresses are mostly hands-off, while these are fully hands-on aside from the embroidery. She has been an amazing and very diligent rep and has insisted on doing all the footwork herself, even when I offered to buy the new sherpa color myself to send her, so I am giving her a lot of room to breathe.Â
I hope to have another photo update soon on the final shape as the bow itself, the sample crop ones up for preorder, and hopefully the adjusted chest window bat shape too! I should also hopefully be able to give an adjusted timeline estimate soon. Who knows, it might not have changed much due to the machine knitting aspect of most of the order.

This update is public as it includes info about production as well as the extension date, rather than backer-exclusive.
So, I have to sincerely apologize for not marketing the preorders effectively. Like, at all. I've been in severe distress due to our landlord/property management company breaking MANY laws including trying to raise our rent in retaliation to requesting repairs - and we reviewed our lease more carefully and noticed several of their clauses are also illegal. Escrow is a thing here but requires a 30 day notice and grace period which they're not budging on, and I just can't express how stressful this has been. The word document we compiled of all the legal complaints we have and the revised code numbers we've cited is literally almost 3k words long.
I'm so grateful for the backerkit store orders that HAVE been trickling in. đ I've just severely dropped the ball on, well...letting non-backers even know it's there. I've been a wreck and it's super embarrassing to admit. I've spent the majority of my energy the past 4 weeks being upset about this, a pest issue, and compiling evidence, though the last week has been the worst of it. I'm very, very sorry about this.Â
Once the purple crop sweater sample + the final black sample are in my hands, that will help too.Â
So as a result, I will be extending the preorder cut-off until November 20th. There have been some pretty serious weather issues going on in China this summer and at this point I expect some production delays too, unfortunately... it's been mostly crickets, but a lot of places have been flooded and due to censorship they're not legally allowed to complain. So I've refrained from asking too much other than if they are safe, which they seem to be.
